Power & Water attended the AquaNor show to participate with Bioretur AS.
"Since 1979, Aqua Nor has been an important international meeting place for the aquaculture industry, and it is today the world’s largest aquaculture technology exhibition. In recent years, the Aqua Nor exhibition has drawn about 20,000 visitors from up to 76 nations to its halls.
All the latest innovations of importance are presented to the industry..
Modern aquaculture is today a knowledge industry with very advanced technology. This is true in all fields: in breeding, feed and feeding regimes, biomass control, construction and operation of floating cages, nets, safety equipment, well boats, handling of fish, veterinary medicine, vaccines etc. The very latest innovations are presented at Aqua Nor."
From Problem to Product...
Bioretur have jointly developed a circular economy fish sludge recovery process which utilises the best available technology and they deliver an 'all inclusive' service which provides everything from remote monitoring and operation, maintenance and sustainable use of the sludge as a natural fertiliser in areas that really need it. The Bioretur concept ensures complete reliability and safeguarding for the many fish rearing and harvesting facilities requiring safe and adequate wastewater treatment and sludge recovery solutions.
With the addition of Soneco® technology, the client can be assured that environmental targets for discharges can be achieved, and water usage can be reduced - adding another level of sustainability into RAS aquaculture processes. Without the use of liquid-chemicals and polymers, the sludge recovered, dried and bagged is safe enough to be reused - turning a waste (and potential hazard) into a commodity.
Ongoing success...
Bioretur won the Aquaculture 2019 Sustainability Award and have already signed contracts with the "big three" top salmon producers in world - Mowi, Grieg Seafood and Lerøy, who will benefit from adopting the unique offering of Bioretur, in the knowledge that only the very best technology will be used and the whole process is safeguarded.
